We have a single bay shop and are looking for a talented, hard-working individual to join our team. We're seeking to hire a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs for our fleet. This position maintains and repairs air brake systems, electrical systems, drive train issues as well as dry van trailer repairs. Some tire work is performed. While we prefer someone who has a certificate or technical training, we are willing to work with any mechanical professional. REQUIIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanical related experience in heavy equipment or automotive Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair (preferred) Knowledge to diagnose; air brakes, drivetrain, and electrical systems Trailer repair to include wheel/brake systems, floors and structure, roof bows/roof, doors, electrical. A lot of time is spent working on trailers. Must have your own tools Ability to read, speak and understand the English language on a basic level The working environment includes working in the shop as well as outside repairs in all weather conditions depending on the situation Safety shoes required Valid driver's license Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen All employees must: Communicate in a courteous and professional manner Adherent to company policy, procedures and safety regulations Comply with OSHA and DOT regulations
