Senior Plastics Applications Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Advise and support sales and customers in selecting the correct equipment for specific PET applications Provide technical support and direction for new and existing product lines Travel 20-30% of the time for customer training, presentations, machine/cycle optimization, field installations, and trade shows Direct the work of process engineers and service engineers to collect data for machine sizing Assist process engineers in installing customer molds for machine demonstrations and sales acceptance Become a subject matter expert on all control systems Design and perform testing for future sizing requirements and machine design criteria Complete and document machine/processing testing Provide technical reports to customers, engineering, and suppliers Communicate professionally with the sales and engineering teams, customers, and the organization Qualifications 5+ years of application engineering experience within PET (PET manufacturing = injection molding that creates beverage bottles or containers)3D CAD Modeling and analysis software Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and thermodynamic systems Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering field Knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling
