AI Applied Research

The role: This is a high-impact generalist role sitting at the intersection of Product, Applied Research, Customer Engagement and Operations. You’ll work directly with highly technical customers, translate their needs into product and research priorities, and help shape how the company scales. You’ll be responsible for: Building relationships with frontier AI labs and technical customers Translating customer requirements into product & research priorities Working closely with engineering, research, product and operations Discussing datasets, model performance, AI workflows and infrastructure Identifying bottlenecks and building scalable processes Taking ownership of high-impact projects in a fast-moving environment Who we’re looking for? Senior track Experience working with AI labs or technical customers Background in human-data / AI data companies such as Scale, Surge, Sapien, Mercor, Invisible, Toloka, Snorkel, Defined.ai or similar Generalist track 1-2 years at MBB/equivalent consulting, investment banking or an APM role at an AI company Strong technical curiosity and interest in AI

Must haves: CS or equivalent technical degree Background in Computer vision (video, audio, media, or content-related technologies Previous work at high pedigree startups or top tier tech companies Strong understanding of ML/AI workflows and data pipelines and Research Science Able to communicate confidently with engineers and researchers Experience in product, technical operations, or a customer-facing technical role Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High curiosity, EQ and ownership Comfortable operating in a high-agency, no-playbook environment Must be based in / willing to work in San Francisco 5 days per week
