HR / Office Assistant
Location: Atlanta, GA
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 annually
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 100% On-site
Position Summary: Provide hands-on support across HR and daily office operations, including employee records, payroll and benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, expatriate support, facility compliance, business licensing, insurance, document management, and general administration.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain confidential employee records, personnel files, leave/attendance records, and HR documentation. Support onboarding, employee separation, performance reviews, and personnel changes. Assist with payroll preparation, including time records, PTO, deductions, and employee changes. Support benefits and retirement plan administration and employee inquiries. Maintain workers' compensation, workplace injury, safety, and OSHA-related documentation. Assist employees with routine questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, leave, and procedures. Maintain HR policies, handbook updates, internal communications, and compliance/audit documentation. Coordinate training, meetings, company events, and employee engagement activities. Manage daily office operations, including mail, deliveries, visitors, phone calls, supplies, files, and meeting coordination. Support expatriate employees with address changes, renter's insurance, vehicle registration/insurance, and other daily living-related administrative matters. Coordinate facility compliance, inspections, documentation, building management, and external agencies. Track business licenses, permits, insurance renewals, and related deadlines. Support insurance audits and renewals and maintain required records. Maintain office asset records, including equipment and access cards. Provide basic office equipment troubleshooting and coordinate with IT or vendors as needed.
Qualifications
Required: Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general office systems. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds and bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods when necessary.
Preferred: Previous HR support, office administration, office coordination, or compliance support experience. Basic knowledge of payroll, employee benefits, or HR administration. Basic office equipment troubleshooting knowledge. Application Form
