Sales Representative (Inside Sales)

The role: You'll serve as a primary point of contact for electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, OEMs, utilities, and end users across DeFazio LLC's territory. Our Inside Sales Representatives are cross-trained across our manufacturer portfolio, allowing customers to work with one person across multiple product categories and applications. This is a fast-paced sales role built around responsiveness, product knowledge, organization, and follow-through. You'll manage incoming opportunities, develop quotations, assist customers with product selection and availability, track active projects, and proactively follow up to turn quotations into orders. You'll work closely with DeFazio LLC's field sales team, manufacturer clients, and distributor partners to provide customers with a high level of service while actively contributing to revenue growth.

What you'll do: Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, OEMs, utilities, and end users Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact across DeFazio LLC's portfolio of electrical manufacturers Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email with timely, accurate product, pricing, and availability information Prepare and manage quotations for material ranging from everyday stock requirements to large commercial, industrial, and data center projects Coordinate pricing, project registrations, special quotations, and order requirements with manufacturer clients and distributor partners Review plans, specifications, bills of material, and customer takeoffs to identify applicable products and sales opportunities Support DeFazio LLC's field sales team with quotations, project follow-up, account development, and customer requests Track opportunities, quotations, customer activity, and sales pipeline in Salesforce CRMMaintain consistent follow-up on open opportunities and provide accurate status information internally and to customers Participate in manufacturer product training, customer meetings, sales meetings, and occasional industry events

What you need: Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers by phone and emailA sales-oriented mindset with an interest in developing relationships and growing accounts Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple quotations, projects, deadlines, and customer requests simultaneously Comfort working with pricing, spreadsheets, bills of material, and technical product information Ability and willingness to learn a broad portfolio of electrical products, including wire and cable, conduit and fittings, raceway, strut and support systems, and electrical equipment Proficiency with CRM and business software platforms; Salesforce CRM experience is a plus Ability to work collaboratively with field sales representatives, manufacturer partners, and fellow Inside Sales team members Based in the Richmond area and able to work from DeFazio LLC's Glen Allen, Virginia office

Nice to have: Experience with an electrical manufacturers' representative, distributor, contractor, or manufacturer Familiarity with electrical distribution and the relationships between manufacturers, representatives, distributors, and contractors Experience preparing electrical quotations or reviewing plans, specifications, and bills of material Knowledge of wire and cable, conduit and fittings, raceway, strut/support systems, switchgear, or related electrical products Experience supporting commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or data center construction projects Existing relationships within the Virginia electrical market
