Patient Transporter The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in supporting quality patient care by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of patients throughout the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for transporting patients to and from admissions, discharges, diagnostic and ancillary departments, treatment areas, and other designated service locations.
Essential Responsibilities: Safely transport patients using beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, or other approved transport equipment. Assist with the safe handling and movement of patients while maintaining dignity, comfort, and privacy. Monitor patients during transport and promptly report any changes in condition or concerns to the appropriate clinical staff. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient transfers and ensure continuity of care. Adhere to all organizational safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient transport procedures. Ensure equipment used during transport is handled properly and maintained in a clean and safe condition. Provide courteous, compassionate, and professional service to patients, families, and team members. Support timely patient movement to minimize delays in care, treatment, testing, and discharge processes. Education and Experience Required: None.
