Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with 1+ years of Sleep Lab experience for a 13-week night shift assignment. Details Acute care Sleep Lab setting with 4 beds/rooms Patient population includes adults and pediatrics 3+ years with obstructive and central sleep apnea 2:1 patient-to-RT ratio with approximately 4 patients per day Uses Cadwell sleep equipment and software Charting via Tru Bridge/Evident (CPSI) EMR3x 12 shifts from 6:45pm-7am on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other week Every other weekend requirement, with possible additional weekend shifts as needed Off on all major holidays, including Christmas Eve, Halloween, Easter, and New Year's Eve No call or standby requirements No floating requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Sleep Lab experience requiredBLS certification (AHA or ARC) requiredRPSGT certification via BRPT required Certificate of completion from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography required New Mexico CPSGT/RPSGT/RRT-SDS/CRT-SDS/Trainee license required to be in hand at time of consideration License required if applicableRRT/CRT preferred but not required Basic computer skills required First-time travelers will be considered
Additional Information:
Monitor and perform sleep studies on patients as prescribed under physician direction Record and measure electrical potentials and other physiologic events Maintain recording devices and analyze/prepare study reports Recognize and appropriately respond to critical events during studies Oversee patient setup for sleep evaluations, including home sleep setup Home sleep setups begin at 5pm on Tuesdays and Fridays Max 3 days of RTO permitted during the assignment Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week assignment Orientation consists of up to 2 weeks, 3 nights per week Facility-required training modules must be completed prior to working the floor, with up to 6 hours billable Monthly Inter-scorer Reliability (ISR) required for quality measurement, to be set up at time of hire Scrub color is royal blue, or royal blue scrub top with black pants No medical assistants or CNAs used in this unit Hours per week: 36 Hours per shift: 12
