About the role

Overview In this role you will lead the translation of business priorities into actionable operational plans, budgets, and schedules. You’ll align resources with strategic objectives and drive performance across complex programs, partnering with program managers, technical teams, and administrative functions. You will influence organizational strategy and improve integrated processes while leading through subordinate management. You will shape how large programs are planned and executed to deliver on cost, schedule, quality, and customer objectives. Compensation / Benefits Relocation assistance Hybrid work arrangement Responsibilities Lead development and execution of operational plans, budgets, and schedules Coordinate operational activities to meet business, financial, customer, and organizational goals Translate strategic priorities into measurable actions and implementation plans Improve efficient, integrated operational processes and shared management services Serve as liaison among program/project management, technical teams, and administrative service departments Oversee development and implementation of operating procedures aligned with objectives Evaluate cost structures, productivity, and delivery methods to identify improvements Monitor progress, assess risks, and resolve issues with program managers and teams Develop and implement solutions supporting budget, schedule, quality, customer, and company objectives Assess complex operational issues and communicate recommendations for decision-making Determine customer requirements and translate into organizational plans Lead recruitment, retention, and development of management and professional talent Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies Promote a safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned Key requirements Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible project or program administration experience At least nine years managing operations in an engineering or scientific environment Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and performance reporting Experience identifying and resolving complex organizational and operational challenges Experience developing and implementing operational plans, budgets, schedules, processes, and performance measures Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate complex operational issues to technical and nontechnical audiences Ability to make sound decisions involving organizational, financial, schedule, and resource considerations Ability to work with executives, program managers, technical teams, and shared-services organizations Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional environmentleadershipcommunicationnegotiationproject planningschedulingprogress monitoring
