Key Qualifications:
  • Valid special education teaching certification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff
  • Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum to meet individual needs
  • Familiarity with current evidence-based instructional strategies in special education
  • Dedication to supporting a positive and productive classroom culture
Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
  • Develop, manage, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and document student progress toward learning goals
  • Foster a welcoming classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
  • Work closely with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure collaborative teamwork
  • Support students with academic, behavioral, and social skills development
  • Stay current with required documentation, best practices, and compliance standards for special education (SPED 26/27 guidelines)
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
