Partner with product development to take new products from concept and samples through tooling, pilot runs and mass production. Manage supplier performance on cost, quality, lead time and on-time delivery, and hold regular business reviews with key partners. Work with quality teams on inspection standards, AQL, corrective action plans and root-cause analysis for defects and returns. Ensure products and suppliers meet safety and regulatory requirements, including UL/ETL certifications, battery and lithium-ion standards, and retailer compliance programs. Diversify the supply base across countries to reduce tariff, geopolitical and capacity risk. Work with supply chain and demand planning on capacity, lead times and production schedules for seasonal peaks. Track material and component cost trends, tariffs and trade regulations, and adjust sourcing plans to match. Lead and develop the sourcing team, including overseas sourcing staff or agents.
Qualifications: 8+ years of product sourcing experience with consumer durables, consumer electronics, outdoor power equipment or similar categories.3+ years leading a sourcing team or managing overseas sourcing offices or agents. Proven record of delivering cost savings and launching new products with overseas factories. Deep knowledge of electrical and battery-powered product manufacturing, including motors, lithium-ion batteries and electronics. Strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of landed cost, Incoterms, tariffs and duties. Experience with product safety certifications and retail compliance for major U.S. retailers. Mandarin language skills are a plus. Willingness to travel internationally to factories and suppliers.
