Medical Records Scan Tech - EveningsHIM Scan Technician Farmington, CT | J. Morrissey 6-Month Contract | 2nd Shift Available Starting Pay: Approximately $20/hourJ. Morrissey is seeking a HIM Scan Technician to support a healthcare organization in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with electronic medical records, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Schedule 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM6-month contract Starting pay around $20/hour

Responsibilities:

Prepare patient charts and medical records for scanning
Scan and digitize medical records into electronic systems
Index documents accurately within the electronic medical record
Perform quality control checks to ensure records are complete and legible
Maintain and organize medical records
Ensure documents are properly assigned and stored
Follow established HIM and document-management procedures
Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GEDBasic computer knowledge
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks
Healthcare or medical records experience is a plus
