Director of Human Resources

Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources/HR Business Partner will play a key leadership role as a strategic member of the executive team reporting to the CEO, aligning talent/recruiting strategies with business goals as CPE continues to expand. This position is critical in cultivating a high-performance culture, advancing employee engagement, and scaling HR operations to support growth across both the corporate headquarters and branch locations.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support CPE's growth, including talent acquisition, organizational development, and succession planning. Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive work environment. Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and providing coaching to managers on employee development. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation structures and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent, ensuring competitiveness within the industry, managing payroll duties, and keep in compliance with the Davis-Beacon Act of 1931.Culture & Values: Foster a cohesive, respectful workplace culture rooted in transparency and integrity by championing initiatives that promote open communication, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging across the organization. HR Operations: Streamline HR processes and systems for efficiency, including the implementation of HR technologies and data analytics for informed decision-making, experience/understanding of AI platforms or applications, and as well as establishing appropriate safeguards for all HR functions.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the industrial equipment or construction sectors. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive HR initiatives. Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis.
