About the role

Remote | U.S. Only (East Coast preferred) | Part-Time Contract Omni Seller Commerce is looking for an experienced Senior Marketplace Brand Manager to join our team in a fractional capacity. This is a client-facing role designed for an experienced marketplace professional looking for a limited-hours engagement alongside other consulting, freelance, or professional commitments. This is not a full-time position. You'll work directly with a small portfolio of Omni Seller clients, helping them understand marketplace performance, determine priorities, and execute against those priorities — with an initial emphasis on Amazon. We are looking for someone who can comfortably move between client conversations, strategic recommendations, data analysis, and hands-on marketplace execution without requiring significant oversight.
What you'll do: Serve as a client-facing marketplace lead for a small number of Omni Seller accounts. Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and communicate regularly regarding performance, priorities, opportunities, and risks. Participate in client calls and clearly explain what we're seeing, what we recommend, and what should happen next. Independently analyze marketplace performance and translate data into actionable recommendations. Manage Amazon fundamentals including catalog health, assortment, pricing, promotions, inventory, content, and operational issues. Identify opportunities to improve traffic, conversion, organic visibility, profitability, and overall marketplace growth. Work alongside advertising specialists and understand how paid media fits into the broader commercial strategy. Prepare concise client-facing reporting, business reviews, and recommendations. Coordinate with Omni Seller team members and external partners to ensure agreed-upon priorities are executed. Escalate issues proactively rather than waiting for clients or internal teams to identify them.
What we're looking for:
  • 2-3+ years of hands-on Amazon marketplace experience, preferably managing brands or significant portions of an Amazon business.
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central; Vendor Central experience is a plus.
  • Previous client-facing experience at an agency, consultancy, service provider, or similar environment.
  • Ability to lead client conversations independently and communicate credibly with senior brand and ecommerce stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace performance across sales, traffic, conversion, advertising, inventory, pricing, content, and profitability.
  • Enough Amazon Ads knowledge to evaluate performance and collaborate intelligently with media specialists.
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and comfort analyzing marketplace data.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to turn complex marketplace issues into concise recommendations.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and deliver reliably within a limited weekly time commitment.
  • You may be a particularly strong fit if...You've worked at an Amazon or ecommerce agency, managed marketplaces directly for a brand, or currently operate as an independent ecommerce consultant.
  • You know your way around Seller Central, but you're equally comfortable getting on a client call and explaining why sales changed, where the biggest opportunity lies, or why a client's proposed tactic may not actually solve the problem.
  • You don't need a large team or detailed task list to determine what should happen next.
  • Omni Seller's model is consultants who execute. We aren't simply an outsourced task team, and we aren't a strategy consultancy that hands over a PowerPoint and walks away. We help clients determine what to do and then work alongside them to make it happen.
  • Role structure
  • The ideal candidate has flexibility during normal U.S. business hours for client meetings, with the majority of work completed independently.
Employment type: Independent contractor
Commitment: Rolling monthly retainer
Location: Remote — U.S. based
Preference: Eastern Time Zone
Schedule: Flexible, with availability for scheduled client meetings during business hours
Potential: Opportunity for additional hours as Omni Seller and the client portfolio grow
Compensation: Competitive hourly or monthly retainer, based on experience and scope
