Role Description: This is a 1099 position. Make your own schedule, we provide billing and support management. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide on-site mental health counseling services to clients at the Jacksonville, OR location in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and, when appropriate, group counseling sessions using evidence-based modalities. The counselor will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinate care with other providers when necessary, and ensure adherence to applicable ethical and legal standards. The role also involves participating in case consultations, engaging in ongoing professional development, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive practice environment. The counselor is expected to uphold high standards of confidentiality and professionalism while fostering trust and safety for every client.
Qualifications: Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (or equivalent) in Oregon, in good standing. Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated experience providing individual counseling, including intake assessment, treatment planning, and use of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Strong clinical judgment, crisis assessment and intervention skills, and the ability to work with diverse client populations and presenting concerns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear clinical documentation and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary providers. Commitment to ethical practice, trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and non-discriminatory, gender-neutral client interactions. Ability to work on-site full time in Jacksonville, OR, manage a consistent caseload, and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Experience with or willingness to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer and office software.
Preferred: Experience in women’s health, empowerment-focused counseling, or working with individuals navigating life transitions or chronic health conditions.
Preferred: Ongoing engagement in supervision, consultation, or continued education relevant to counseling practice and mental health trends.
