About the role

Machining Technology Program Assistant Assist instructors with preparation and cleanup of laboratory and shop activities. Organize, inventory, and restock machining tools, materials, and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and safety of machining labs, classrooms, and storage areas. Assist with basic maintenance of equipment under instructor supervision. Prepare training materials, handouts, and instructional aids as needed. Help monitor tool checkout and return procedures. Enter inventory and program-related data into computer systems and spreadsheets. Assist with student recruitment events, open houses, and program demonstrations. Support faculty and staff with special projects related to the machining program. Follow all college safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and shop safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned that support the operation of the Machining Technology program. Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding through the Financial Aid Office. Enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree program at the college. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Strong organizational and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. This position is not eligible for benefits.
