Chapman BMW on Camelback is seeking a confident, customer-focused sales professional to join our team as a Portfolio Manager. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying vehicle upgrade and purchase opportunities, and helping customers make informed decisions about their current and future vehicle needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable initiating conversations, consistently following up with customers, and developing long-term relationships. This role works closely with our sales, service, and management teams to create opportunities while providing the exceptional customer experience expected from Chapman BMW on Camelback.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers through consistent phone, text, and email follow-up, identifying vehicle purchase, upgrade, trade-in, equity, and lease-end opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by understanding customer needs, providing personalized recommendations, and creating opportunities for repeat and referral business
  • Work with customers in both the sales and service departments to identify opportunities to purchase, lease, upgrade, or replace their current vehicle
  • Partner with sales management, service advisors, and technicians to evaluate customer needs, address concerns, and present appropriate vehicle or replacement options
  • Manage vehicle orders, customer specifications, lease terminations, and delivery communications throughout the sales process
  • Monitor customer vehicle ownership cycles and proactively follow up to maximize customer retention and identify future sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer information, follow-up activity, and sales opportunities within the dealership CRM and related systems
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Previous sales experience required
  • Automotive sales experience strongly preferredCRM experience preferred
  • Former service advisor experience a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Strong relationship-building and customer retention skills
  • Ability to confidently approach customers and initiate conversations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to consistently follow up and manage a portfolio of customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and windows-based applications with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and safely drive or move vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
