Now Hiring Class B Inspectors! Enjoy the flexibility of remote work, set your own schedule, and take charge of your day. Minimal supervision — maximum independence! Beacon Inspections is searching for 1099 Independent Contractor Commercial Vehicle Field Inspectors in all US regions. The ideal Independent Contractor will be mechanically inclined with a basic knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment. DOT inspectors, fleet supervisors, firefighters, law enforcement professionals, insurance adjusters, home inspectors, and other mechanically inclined individuals are common.
Required: 1099 Independent Contractor status
Flexible Schedule (daylight hours, Monday - Friday) Comfortable working outdoors Access to a newer smartphone or tablet with sufficient data plan Access to a laptop/desktop computer Basic OBD II Scanner (if do not have we will provide) Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft and other web based software Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
