About the role

Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Email Programmer – Email Marketing is to design, code, and deploy effective email campaigns. This position is responsible for developing responsive, high-quality email templates using HTML, CSS, and industry-standard email marketing platforms. Collaborating closely with creative, CRM, and external vendor partners, the Email Programmer ensures campaigns are visually engaging, function seamlessly across devices, and support the successful implementation of digital marketing initiatives, marketing technologies, and personalized customer experiences that drive engagement and revenue. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Code and design high-quality, mobile-friendly email templates using HTML, CSS, and industry-standard email platforms. Collaborate closely with CRM, creative, marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure email campaigns align with brand standards, customer experience goals, and business objectives. Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including audience selection, workflow development, testing, deployment, and post-campaign analysis. Work extensively with customer data to build targeted audiences, develop data-driven segmentation strategies, and support marketing targeting efforts. Test and validate email campaigns across devices, browsers, and email clients; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal rendering, deliverability and performance. Implement dynamic content, personalization, and customer journey requirements to enhance customer engagement and campaign effectiveness. Maintain and update email templates and coding practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall campaign quality. Stay up to date on email development best practices, accessibility requirements, and industry trends, and apply improvements when beneficial. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support email campaign execution, platform enhancements, system integrations, and implementation of new marketing tools and capabilities. Track key performance metrics, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to refine email marketing strategies. Ensure accurate and secure handling of customer data in compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Safety is an essential function of this job. Minimum Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.2+ years of experience in email marketing, email programming, or digital marketing.
  • Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or casino industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with email campaigns in a CRM or customer relationship management environment.
  • Previous experience and familiarity with Adobe marketing platforms (Adobe Journey Optimized, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Manager etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Strong expertise in HTML and CSS, with proven experience designing and coding responsive email templates.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Adobe Campaign/Adobe Journey Optimizer, or similar).Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and the ability to create or modify email creative assets as needed to support campaign deployments
  • Experience integrating dynamic content and personalization into email campaigns.
  • Proficient in testing emails across multiple devices and email clients to ensure optimal deliverability and performance.
  • Understanding of email deliverability best practices and data privacy regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).Familiarity with industry best practices for email segmentation and targeted messaging.
  • Experience analyzing email campaign performance and making data-driven recommendations is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
