Surgical Physician Assistant Job at Yale New Haven Health in Bridgeport

Provide perioperative and broader clinical care across ENT, urology, gynecology, plastic surgery and robotic surgery at Bridgeport Hospital. Independently first assist in the operating room and assess, prepare and manage patients through the surgical continuum of care. Work with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams in a high-volume surgical setting. Independently first assist during a range of surgical procedures. Support operative care across ENT, urology, gynecology, plastic surgery and robotic surgery. Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations. Review and order diagnostic and therapeutic tests and radiologic results. Formulate and manage patient treatment plans, including prescribing treatment and medications within scope and guidelines. Assess, triage and manage patient and family needs throughout the disease process.
