Overview
As a Training and Development Advisor II, you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of outcome-based training for a defined client group. You will own competency management, learning plans, and LMS-driven reporting to enable a competent workforce. You will collaborate with technical SMEs, instructional designers, and field teams to implement aligned training initiatives and ensure records compliance. This role offers the chance to shape a learning culture and drive competency assurance across departments.
Responsibilities Manage creation, review, update, and approval of competencies mapped to the client group Plan and lead execution of Training Processes to produce outcome-based learning plans for defined competencies Develop and maintain Learning Plans in an LMS with automated reporting for management oversight Coordinate resources to create and improve training content (internal/external)Lead/participate in Competency Assurance activities and Administration Learning and Evaluation Processes Guide competency assessment, goal setting, and development plans with Assessors and People Leaders Support Management of Change by conducting training needs assessments and delivering impact-based programs Maintain training and competency records in compliance with Records Management Policy Promote a learning culture and highlight competency development at all staff levels Develop and implement an Annual Training Plan as needed Oversee internal assessments, reviews, and compliance verification of training processes Support/assist in training delivery as required Engage with industry advisory groups as assigned
Key requirements 4–7 years of leadership or training development experience with technical staff support Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)Classroom facilitation experience is a plus Coaching skills; coaching certification considered an asset Knowledge of content creation tools is an asset Experience with LMS programs is an asset Degree in adult learning or related field (as stated)strong communicationcoaching capabilitystakeholder managementLMS administrationinstructional design collaborationcontent creation tools
