Autocad Drafter

Role Description: The Autocad Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Bronx, NY. This role is responsible for preparing detailed AutoCAD drawings for stone fabrication, including shop drawings, layouts, sections, and details based on architectural plans and field measurements. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting construction documents, coordinating with project managers and production teams, revising drawings based on feedback, and ensuring that all drawings meet company standards and client specifications. The Autocad Drafter will update and maintain drawing files, verify dimensions and material requirements, and help resolve design or fabrication issues through clear documentation. Collaboration with the fabrication shop and installation teams is expected to ensure accuracy and smooth project execution.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing, with proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Candidates should possess experience creating Shop Drawings, including fabrication details, material specifications, and installation layouts. Candidates should possess skills in working with Architectural Drawings and interpreting plans, elevations, and sections for construction and fabrication. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Architecture principles related to building components, dimensions, and construction practices. Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in stone, millwork, or construction drafting; attention to detail; strong spatial and mathematical skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting, CAD, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work on-site in Bronx, NY, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with supervisors and project stakeholders.
