About the role

Finance Analyst We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to assist Catalyst Brands' Transportation operations and financial reporting while supporting broader domestic and international freight initiatives. This role partners closely with Transportation, Finance, and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting, actionable insights, and strong financial controls across freight spend. The ideal candidate possesses a desire to develop their supply chain knowledge, financial acumen, and technical reporting skills, with a curiosity to dig into data and continuously improve visibility and performance. This position will work at our Plano TX Corporate office 4 days per week and 1 day remotely per week.
Responsibilities: Freight Spend Ownership: Own end-to-end operational and financial reporting for international and domestic freight; track spend, identify performance trends, and build monthly forecasts. Month-End Close Support: Assist with the month-end financial close process, including accruals, basic journal entries, and ledger reviews to ensure alignment with US GAAP.Network Analysis: Support the broader transportation finance team with ad hoc analysis and metrics for supply chain, logistics and delivery network performance. KPIs & Dashboards: Develop, maintain, and automate financial dashboards to streamline performance tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Technical SkillsExcel skills (formulas, pivots, models)
  • Prior exposure to SQL, Alteryx, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a strong plus; a willingness to learn is required.
  • Experience & Knowledge1 to 3+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or a highly analytical business role. High-potential candidates with strong internship experience will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
