Location: Portland, ORUnder the direct and immediate supervision of a surgeon, the Surgical First Assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The surgical first assistant plays a vital role in patient care and assisting surgeons preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduation from accredited surgical assistant program with subsequent current certification/credential Current CPR if applicableTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age
