Pay Rate: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour

Job Type: Short term contract (2-3 months)

Position Overview: Openwork is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Buyer for this estimated 2–3-month opportunity with a premier client in Deer Park, TX. In this role, you will play a key part in managing procurement operations, streamlining vendor processes, and supporting a strategic transition from Procure-to-Pay (P2P) to Source-to-Pay (S2P).If you thrive in supply chain analytics, contract oversight, and vendor relationship management, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Sourcing: Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in compliance with company policies while optimizing price, delivery, and commercial terms. Evaluate low-risk market dynamics, cost drivers, and supplier alternatives. Contract Administration: Draft clear contract requirements and technical specifications for assigned business areas. Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractor and vendor execution. Process & RFQ Oversight: Manage and optimize the end-to-end procurement process. Support organizational initiatives transitioning from Procure-to-Pay (P2P) to Source-to-Pay (S2P).Data & Cost Analysis: Collect and analyze cost data using established tools. Identify budget variances and cost-saving opportunities, delivering key financial and analytical reports to leadership. Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement: Monitor adherence to internal purchasing policies and regulatory codes. Resolve internal and supplier inquiries prompt, leading alignment meetings to drive cross-functional commitment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on procurement and purchasing experience.

Technical Skills: Strong ERP experience is required (Oracle experience is highly preferred).Analytical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in cost modeling, budget variance analysis, and reporting tools.
