Dental Hygienist

Cedar Bend Dental Care in Marion, IA is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered, community-focused team. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive preventive care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, radiographs, and oral cancer screenings. You’ll educate patients on oral hygiene, collaborate closely with dentists on treatment planning, and maintain accurate clinical records. Provide dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance Take and interpret dental radiographs and perform oral cancer screenings Review medical histories and document findings in patient records Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Assist dentists with exams and coordinate patient flow in the clinic Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols Communicate treatment plans and post-care instructions to patients Contribute to a friendly, patient-centered environment and build long-term relationships Dental prophylaxis Scaling and root planing Periodontal charting and maintenance Dental radiography Infection control and sterilization Local anesthesia administration Electronic dental records (EDR) Oral health education and counseling Instrument sharpening and maintenance Patient communication and chairside manner Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Iowa CPR/BLS certification Local anesthesia certification (preferred or as required by state)
