Membership Coordinator Admin - 35 hours per week About the Company & Opportunity Join a well-established cultural organization with a strong connection to the local community. The Membership Coordinator / Admin will be a key contact for members, helping with everything from payments and account questions to tickets, benefits, and events. This role offers a good mix of customer service, administrative work, database management, and event support.
About the Role: We're looking for someone who is friendly, organized, and comfortable working in a busy environment. You'll spend a lot of your day helping members by phone and email, processing membership and gift transactions, and keeping the database accurate. You'll also work with the Membership and Visitor Services teams to troubleshoot issues and support membership events. What You'll Do:
  • Process membership payments and gifts received online, by mail, over the phone, and onsite.
  • Enter memberships, recurring payments, and monthly installments into the CRM.Answer member questions by phone and email regarding accounts, tickets, benefits, payments, and upcoming programs.
  • Help prospective and current members understand membership options, benefits, renewals, and upgrades.
  • Help members with online accounts, website navigation, ticketing questions, and basic technical issues.
  • Keep member information accurate and up to date in the database.
  • Help troubleshoot digital membership cards, benefits, and receipts.
  • Provide support at membership events, including check-in, registration, and assisting guests.
  • Stay familiar with upcoming, programs, events, and ticketing policies so you can answer member questions.
  • Work with the Visitor Services team when membership issues need to be resolved onsite.
  • Help with other Membership team projects and administrative tasks as needed.
  • What You Bring 1-2 years of experience in customer service, membership, fundraising, nonprofit, administrative, or a similar role.
  • Experience processing payments, gifts, or other revenue transactions.
  • Experience working with a CRM or database; membership or fundraising database experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of keeping information accurate.
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of phone and email inquiries.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Organized and able to manage several priorities in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Someone who enjoys working with people and is willing to jump in and help the team when needed.$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
