Position: Safety Assistant
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule:
Variable working hours but typically M-F
Work Management
Under the direction of the Site Safety Manager, monitors compliance with applicable safety and environment regulations.
Must be fluent in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Power Point).
Must be a "Team Player" and have strong work ethics.
Minimum 2 years work experience managing or coordinating an industrial safety program.
Applicants with Associates, Bachelors or Masters Degree in an ABET accredited Safety program are highly preferred.
Personnel and Staff Development
Administers the attendance and safety incentives for each month.
Supports company policies, dress codes, work rules, safety rules, and ethics.
Safety and Environmental Coordination:
Supports the day to day operation of the Company wide EH&S program.
Monitors and documents compliance with applicable OSHA, Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Prepares required reports to corporate headquarters, host steel mills and government agencies if required.
Maintains library of safety and environment documentation and revises when necessary.
Documents and monitors prevention training and reporting on accidents and injuries.
