Overseeing a team dedicated to delivering accurate financial information, the full-time Manager, Reinsurance Accounting will manage monthly and quarterly reinsurance closes, review settlement calculations, and implement process improvements, working in a hybrid environment based in Houston, TX.
Key responsibilities:
Complete monthly and quarterly reinsurance accounting closes accurately and on time
Review reinsurance cession calculations and manage financial statement disclosures
Identify and develop process improvements while maintaining an effective control environment
Required qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry with complex reinsurance treaties
Experience in process improvements and automation
Familiarity with financial systems, particularly SAP and BPC
Proficiency in data tools, including Excel, Word, PowerBI, and Alteryx
Ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of staff
