About the role

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift; Schedule may vary and include evening and weekend coverage based on clinic and program needs.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The primary role of the Clinical Athletic Trainer (ATC) is to assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician and/or Sports Medicine Program manager by performing the essential functions of the job. The position will collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and provide direct assistance to other medical providers such as physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, medical assistants, and registered nurses in providing care for our patients at CHLA. RequiredMinimum Qualifications/Work Experience:6+ Months of ATC experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in the physician practice setting. PreferredExperience working as an Athletic Trainer with children, adolescents and young adults.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: RequiredBachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program. Must be Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). American Heart Association BLS Certification. NPI Number. PreferredCompletion of Athletic Training Residency Program. BSC-O Certification. Certified Orthopedic Technologist.
