About the role

High School Reading Interventionist The High School Reading Interventionist provides direct, small-group reading intervention to students in grades 9-12 who are reading below grade level. Using the Read 180 program, the Interventionist delivers a blended-learning model of whole-group instruction, small-group differentiated instruction, and independent/adaptive software practice designed to accelerate reading growth for striving readers. This position operates within the District's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework, providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading intervention as identified through universal screening and progress-monitoring data. The Interventionist works in close partnership with building administrators, content-area teachers, and the ELA Curriculum Supervisor to ensure interventions are implemented with fidelity and that student growth data directly informs instructional decision-making.
