Start Date: October 1, 2025 Critical Need! MemorialCare Health System (Long Beach Memorial, Miller Womens & Childrens Hospital, and Saddleback Medical Center) is seeking experienced Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for ongoing locum coverage. These are high-acuity sites with diverse case mixes and subspecialty requirements.

Locations: Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Long Beach, CAMiller Womens & Childrens Hospital Long Beach, CAMemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Laguna Hills, CAPractice Details 100% physician-only anesthesia care (no CRNAs/AAs).Large, established teams: 45+ anesthesiologists at Long Beach, 18 at Saddleback. Teaching environment: anesthesia residency & physician house staff programs. Annual Case Volumes:

• Long Beach: 28,000 surgical cases / 4,000 OB cases / 2,000 cardiac cases
• Saddleback: 8,600 surgical cases / 2,000 OB cases / 1,000 cardiac cases
• Case MixCardiac Anesthesia always, specialty team onlyOB Anesthesia usually (OB Fellowship or high-acuity OB experience required)
• Pediatric Anesthesia specialty team only at LB/Millers; rarely at Saddleback
• Neuro, Trauma, Ortho, and Regional Anesthesia frequent
• No chronic pain management or office-based anesthesia
• Schedule / CallCall frequency: 1:9 to 1:10 (first and second call)
• Post-call day off: always granted
• Mix of general, OB, cardiac, and specialty coverage based on fellowship/expertise

Requirements: Board Certified Anesthesiologist (ABA) Active California License (required) Fellowship or equivalent subspecialty experience in:

• Cardiac (CV) Anesthesia Echo certification or CV fellowship requiredOB Anesthesia Fellowship or significant high-acuity OB experience required
• Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required; must be CA Childrens Services (CCS) paneled for Peds cases
• Current ACLS & PALSKey Notes
• Exclusive contract with MemorialCare system.
• No CRNAs all physician-directed model.
• Coverage across three hospitals; Saddleback operates as a standalone team, while Long Beach Memorial and Millers share staffing.
• High-priority, critical coverage need credentialing will be expedited.
