Home Health Certified Nurse Aide Job at Addus Family company in Edgewood

Addus Family Company is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to deliver high-quality, in-home personal care within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will assist elderly and disabled clients with bathing, grooming, mobility, toileting, and daily living activities, helping them remain safe and independent at home. You will observe and report changes in condition, follow care plans, and maintain strict infection control and safety standards. Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in clients’ homes Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation using proper body mechanics Monitor and report changes in client condition, vital signs, and safety concerns to supervising nurse Support activities of daily living such as meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping Promote client dignity, independence, and comfort in alignment with care plans Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures at all times Accurately document care provided and observations in required formats Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and coordinators to support individualized care plans Educate and remind clients about basic health, hygiene, and fall-prevention practices Uphold Addus standards for compassion, integrity, and respect with clients and families Patient personal care Vital signs monitoring Infection control Safe patient transfers and mobility Basic first aid and CPR Observation and reporting Home safety practices Electronic or paper documentation Time management Professional communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license in the state of employment Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home visits Ability to pass background check and health/TB screening as required Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
