Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the TechOps Engineer will oversee system uptime and integrity for customer systems, manage installations and upgrades, and document technical designs while providing overnight support from 1 AM to 9 AM EST.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure system uptime and integrity by building and architecting robust systems
Document technical designs and create training materials for operational processes
Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Expertise in system administration for Debian-based distributions
Experience with multiple hosting environments, including cloud and bare metal
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Strong experience with Linux, Proxmox, and IT security protocols
