Certified Surgical Technologist

Medical City Healthcare seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to support a high-volume OR in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The Surgical Tech will prepare and maintain the sterile field, manage instruments and supplies, and anticipate the needs of surgeons during a variety of procedures. Responsibilities include patient positioning assistance, accurate counts, equipment setup, and strict adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering excellent surgical care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Prepare operating room, equipment, and instruments according to surgical protocols. Maintain strict aseptic technique and monitor sterile field throughout procedures. Anticipate surgeon and team needs, passing instruments and supplies efficiently. Perform accurate pre-, intra-, and post-operative counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments. Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping under RN and surgeon direction. Inspect, assemble, and care for surgical instruments and equipment. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia to ensure safe patient care. Document intraoperative activities in accordance with facility policies. Support implementation of infection prevention and patient safety standards. Participate in continuing education and competency validations.
