To support the Rheumatology department, the full-time Referral Coordinator I will manage referrals and authorizations for patients, ensuring accurate processing in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system while coordinating care with clinical teams and patients in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
Completes entry of referrals and authorizations into the EHR system
Coordinates follow-up care and ensures financial information and insurance are current
Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and clinical teams to facilitate optimal patient care
Required qualifications:
High School Graduate
Medical Terminology knowledge
Two years of related work experience preferred
Experience in processing physician office and/or hospital referrals
Proficient in computer usage
