About the role

Overview: The Assembly / Material Handler is responsible for assembling valve components, moving materials throughout the manufacturing facility, and supporting efficient production operations. This position requires attention to detail, safe material-handling practices, and the ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Assemble valves, components, and related products according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and production requirements. Inspect components for visible defects, proper fit, and correct identification before and during assembly. Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment as required. Move raw materials, components, finished products, and packaging materials between receiving, production, inventory, and shipping areas. Load and unload materials using appropriate material-handling equipment. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment when trained and authorized. Maintain accurate material identification and inventory locations. Prepare materials and components for production orders. Package and label finished products according to customer and company requirements. Complete production records, material transactions, inspection documentation, and other required paperwork or electronic records. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Follow all company safety procedures, including proper lifting and material-handling practices. Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect components and notify the appropriate supervisor. Perform other manufacturing and material-handling duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred. Ability to read and follow written work instructions. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools. Ability to accurately identify parts, materials, and components. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Good attendance, dependability, and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: In order to perform the job successfully, an individual must be qualified to be able to perform the job. The requirements listed below are representative (not inclusive) of the qualifications and experience required to perform the job: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and lift materials. Ability to safely lift and move materials within the requirements of the position. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

All work must be performed in accordance with applicable company procedures and customer specifications.
