About the job:
JTCC is looking for a Community & Competition Program Coordinator to join the team! The Community & Competition Program Coordinator is the connective tissue across JTCC's two lanes. They run the programs and events on both sides — the community programming that welcomes and grows our base, and the competitive programming that moves players up — and they are the human handoff at the seam where a community player becomes a competitive one. Half of the work week is on the court with athletes; the other half is behind the scenes making the programming actually happen. The Community & Competition Program Coordinator reports to both program managers because they work in both their worlds every single day, and they’re the person who keeps an athlete's journey moving from their first nervous class to their first competitive ladder.
Key responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and run the community events calendar end to end: Festivals, Play Days, End-of-Session Celebrations, Mixers, and LTN Orientation & Graduation. Coordinate all LTN and LTN II programming — communication with coaches and participants, participation and make-ups, court booking, and equipment. Plan, organize, and run the competitive events calendar: Matchplays, JTL, USTA Teams, Ladder League, Internal Tournaments, and Practice and Plays (all events approved by the supervising manager).Serve as the primary contact for new athletes and for competitive inquiries — integrating both into the junior and adult development pathways. Grow participation across community and competitive programming at every level, from first-timers to advanced competitors. Conduct exit interviews with departing families and players, and feed what you learn back to the managers. Spend roughly half your week on court — across community and competitive programming — and half coordinating behind the scenes. Work across both managers' priorities and escalate genuine conflicts to the VP.
Preferred experience:
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field preferred 3+ years of coaching experience at various levels, including both grassroots and competitive coaching 2+ years of program management experience 5+ years in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Familiarity with Net Generation for 10U development and community programming Knowledge of the USTA competitive system, and of local high school and college competitive systemsUSPTA, PTR, or ITF certified Safe Play ApprovedA genuine passion for both grassroots and competitive development

This role is based and located at our College Park, MD facilities. This role is fully onsite.
Compensation:
This salary range for this role is $70,000–$80,000. The actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including candidate qualifications, experience, education, skills and internal equity.
