About the role

Operations Leadership TraineeThis is a leadership development position for college graduates. The Operations Leadership Trainee will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of focused developmental activities, assignments, and rotations over 24 months to prepare for a professional role at HOLT. During this period, the incumbent will develop understanding and skills to lead and influence within the Values Based Leadership (VBL) culture using Holt's leadership language, tools, models, and processes. This includes demonstrating versatility in learning, modeling, teaching, and measuring the impact of their interactions over time. The Leadership Associate will build interdependent and highly functional relationships with individuals and teams throughout the operations division that will enable success in a longer-term position identified upon completion of the 24-month rotation. In the event the Leadership Trainee fails to perform, or no position is available after completion of the program, he or she will be separated from the company. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential FunctionsModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionRotates through multiple departments and assignments; successfully identifies area(s) of highest and best useDevelops strong, positive relationships at all levels across the enterpriseDemonstrates personal adaptability and understanding of VBL culture, including use of language, tools, models and processesComplies with all company policies, procedures, and standards including time and attendance expectationsWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong self-management skills: Exhibits high self-awareness and adaptability for required feedback gathering, behavioral adaptability, on-going self-management and continual growth and development in a VBL cultureDemonstrated influencing capability: High level of adaptability required to effectively perform in diverse and changing conditionsProblem solving expertise: Problem identification and resolution including alternative strategies and management of resources, constraints and contingenciesPlanning expertise: Ability to understand and integrate the enterprise strategic business plan into departmental operational planning and processesTechnical expertise: Professional knowledge, skills and experience in relevant industries and positional rolesRequirementsEducation and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant focus is requiredSupervisory Responsibilities: One year rotation with supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Travel: Limited travel required to visit stores throughout territory, primarily day tripsPhysical Requirements: General office and shop requirements with some lifting up to 50 lbs.
