Doula / Health Educator I, per diem, Mother/Baby Parent Education, Atlantic Health Morristown Medica

Responsibilities include: Provide continuous emotional and physical support to clients during labor and childbirth. Utilize comfort measures such as positioning, relaxation techniques, breathing support, massage, and reassurance. Assist clients and families in understanding birth preferences and provide support in communicating those preferences with the medical team. Deliver evidence-based information on pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum recovery to support informed decision-making. Facilitate a calm and supportive birthing environment in alignment with patient needs and wishes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in accordance with organizational standards. Adhere to confidentiality, ethical practices, and professional boundaries at all times. Flexibility to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended on-call periods.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent Certification as a birth doula. Doula from a recognized programBLS within 6 months of hire

Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred Experience supporting pregnant or postpartum individuals preferred Personal or volunteer birth/postpartum support experience
