About the role

The Environmental Scientist III conducts field inspections and audits of nutrient applications to turf under Delaware's Nutrient Management Program to ensure compliance with state law and protect water quality. This role involves analyzing scientific data, reviewing permit applications and regulatory submissions, preparing technical reports and enforcement documents, and communicating with the regulated community about environmental compliance requirements.
Key qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Life, Physical, or Applied Science or related field Two years' experience analyzing and evaluating scientific data Two years' experience interpreting environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures Two years' experience in technical report writing Valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled)
