Framing Foreman – Lead Residential Framing Crews for a Scaling SoCal GCJob Overview:Company: John Christopher Construction Salary/Pay Rate: $35 to $45 per hour (Depending on experience)Location: Southern California Job/Employment Type: Full Time Project Scope: Residential & Commercial Framing (ADUs, Additions, Custom Homes)Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License The Opportunity:You will serve as a hands-on field leader, driving daily residential framing operations across dynamic projects in Southern California. This role offers real ownership of your crews and schedules within a systems-driven general contractor that self-performs its core trades. You will have the autonomy to enforce high quality standards while building a clear path for long-term career advancement. How You Will Make an Impact:Direct daily framing crews on site to deliver ADU, custom home, and commercial projects strictly on schedule. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to set precise site layouts before crew cutting begins. Execute all framing systems including floor joists, ceiling joists, wall framing, complex rooflines, and stairs. Enforce strict plumb, line, and level quality standards across all built structures. Walk job sites with inspectors and superintendents to resolve punch list items immediately. Mentor framers and helpers on site to build crew capability and support rapid company growth. Enforce job site safety practices to keep crews working efficiently and securely every day. Required Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience as a framing foreman or lead running residential framing crews with minimal direction. Expertise across floor systems, wall framing, ceiling joists, complex roof framing, and stair structures. Demonstrated ability to read and lay out directly from architectural and structural plans independently. Strong command of plumb, line, and level to catch and correct errors proactively. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation. Physical capability to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the workday. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to lead crews effectively. Prior field leadership experience within a growth-focused general contracting environment.
