Managing Consultant

Overview In this role you will lead SAIC’s Mission Advisory practice in Reston, guiding cross-functional teams to address civilian agency challenges in digital transformation and mission services. You will shape strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans with clients and internal stakeholders, helping us extend our impact across government missions. The role combines leadership, client management, and business development to drive meaningful outcomes. You will travel to client sites nationwide and grow the practice while delivering tangible results for missions you serve. Responsibilities Team leadership and people development for consultants and analysts Client relationship management and ensuring exceptional service Business development and pursuit of new opportunities Client needs assessment to design strategy and roadmaps aligned with objectives Develop methodologies and artifacts supporting client missions Project management including timelines, budgets, and deliverables Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to align business and technology objectives Guiding professional growth and development of team members Key requirements Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline 14 years of related experience 5-7 years of advisory/consulting experience Proven IT consultant experience Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks Ability to travel up to 15-25%Strong project management and organizational skills Certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, CompTIA, PMP, Cloud, CSM) preferredstrong communicationinterpersonal skillsleadershipclient service orientationproblem-solvingvarious IT areas (preferred)
