American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an adult inpatient psychiatric unit requiring active CT RN licensure and Crisis Management Training certification.
Requirements:
- Active State of CT RN license (or compact)BLS certification
- Crisis Management Training (CMT) certification administered by CPI or Northwell, or an equivalent in-person course of at least 6 hours
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Two professional references from prior managers rated standard or above average within the past year
Responsibilities:
- Work in the Psych Unit of a 366-bed acute care academic medical center
- Adult inpatient behavioral health patient population
- Alternating day/night shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM and 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Provide direct patient care within an adult inpatient behavioral health setting
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Returning travelers with prior work history at Northwell or Nuvance Health locations are subject to an eligibility review process
