Senior Java Software Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture. Drive quality through consistent application of Test-Driven Development (TDD) using a “test-first” approach. Build internal tools and user-facing features that enhance the user experience. Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and development environments. Mentor junior developers and participate in peer code reviews. Engage in paired programming, rotating teams periodically to encourage learning and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot.7+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).Proficient with GIT for version control. Skilled in testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito. Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies. Excited about Test-Driven Development and committed to software quality. Experience with, or openness to, AI-assisted development workflows, including pairing with tools such as OpenAI Codex to support test-driven development and code quality.

Preferred Skills & Experience: 10+ years of Java/Spring Boot development.2+ years of practical TDD experience. Experience modernizing legacy applications or “strangling” monoliths.
