About AthosSix months ago Athos was an idea. Today it's a bootstrapped company past $1M ARR, and it's growing fast. No VC money; customers pay for it. We build AI for sales reps in the insurance industry. Reps practice against realistic AI voice personas, get coached in real time during live calls, and every real call they make is transcribed, analyzed and scored by our engine. It's a regulated market where one bad sale costs real money, so the AI has to be right, not just impressive.
The role:
- You'll join the founding team as one of its core engineers, working directly with the founders. You'll own full-stack features end to end, from the first idea through UI, APIs and data to production, and turn a rough problem into shipped code without waiting for someone to break it into tickets.
- What you'll work onReal-time voice AI. Streaming audio, speech-to-text and voice agents that have to sound human and respond in milliseconds.
- LLM systems that have to be right. Prompting, evaluation and reliability for AI that analyzes real sales conversations, where a wrong answer has real consequences.
- Data at scale. Thousands of real conversations turned into structured signals, and working out how to put that data to work with AI.Zero-to-one AI products. New products that don't exist yet, owned from the first idea to production.
- Full-stack product. The dashboards and workflows reps and managers use every day.
- Our stack
- Full-stack web on the cloud, MongoDB, background job pipelines, and real-time voice (WebRTC-based voice agents, streaming speech-to-text, speaker diarization).
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping production systemsAI-native: coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar) are your default, and you keep learning new best practices for working with them
- Hungry to own problems end to end rather than work a ticket queue
- A problem solver and critical thinker who pushes back on a bad plan and proposes a better one
- Big bonus
- Hands-on experience with voice AI: real-time audio, speech-to-text, or voice agents
