This role sits directly at the intersection of cybersecurity, carve-outs/divestitures, merger integration, and post-close transformation — helping organizations separate, integrate, stand up, and transform cybersecurity programs in fast-paced transaction environments. Key Details

Level: Manager or Senior Manager

Work Environment: Hybrid/remote depending on location and engagement

Location/Remote: NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco is the preference. Exceptional remote U.S. candidates with highly relevant Cyber M&A experience are encouraged to apply

Travel: Ability to travel for client engagements as needed (0~30% but likely on low end)

Rate: Open and competitive (priority is consultant fit over budget)

What You’ll Do:

Lead cybersecurity workstreams across carve-out/divestiture and merger integration transactions
Drive Day 1 readiness, separation, integration, and post-close transition initiatives
Develop and execute cybersecurity roadmaps for standing up, separating, integrating, or transforming security programs
Assess and design cybersecurity operating models across people, process, and technology
Guide clients through security architecture, GRC, controls implementation, cloud/application security, identity, data security, SecOps, and tooling decisions
Support TSA-related transition planning and technology/security separation
Lead workshops, gather requirements, and translate findings into actionable execution plans
Interface directly with executive stakeholders, including private equity sponsors and portfolio-company leadership
Lead consultants and workstreams while driving delivery quality and client outcomes

What We’re Looking For: Must-Haves Demonstrated hands-on experience executing cybersecurity work across both carve-out/divestiture and merger integration transactions Experience that extends beyond M&A diligence into post-close execution and implementation Manager or Senior Manager-level experience leading complex cybersecurity engagements or transaction workstreams Strong cybersecurity breadth across areas such as: Security architectureGRC / risk & compliance Identity and access management Cloud and application security Data protection Security operations / incident response Experience taking cybersecurity initiatives from assessment → roadmap → implementation Strong consulting/client-facing experience Ability to confidently engage and present to senior and executive stakeholders Particularly Relevant Experience Experience with any of the following is highly valuable: Carve-out-to-standalone Carve-out-to-integration Merger integration Day 1 readinessTSA planning and transition Cybersecurity operating-model design Tool separation, migration, selection, or deployment Cost modeling / standalone run-rate planning Private equity portfolio companies Leading consulting teams or transaction workstreams Why This RoleLead cybersecurity execution on high-visibility M&A transactions Work directly with executive stakeholders and private equity sponsors Take meaningful ownership of complex carve-out and integration programs Help build cybersecurity programs from the ground up during pivotal business transformations
