Job Description: Meat & Kitchen Specialist Morgan’s Northgate Market
Pay: $17–$19/hour, depending on experience
Morgan’s Northgate Market is looking for an experienced, dependable Meat & Kitchen Specialist who knows how to stay productive without needing someone looking over their shoulder. This is not a management position, but it is a position with responsibility. We need someone who can walk into the department, recognize what needs to be cut, prepared, stocked, or cleaned, and take care of it. If you have years of experience in meat cutting, food production, or a professional kitchen and want to put that experience to work without taking on the headaches of being the boss, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do:
  • Cut, trim, portion, and package meat for the retail case
  • Keep the meat case stocked, rotated, organized, and looking its best
  • Monitor dates, inventory levels, freshness, and product quality
  • Minimize waste and make smart, efficient use of product
  • Prepare our Take & Bake meals and other ready-to-cook items
  • Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen production
  • Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe work areas
  • Help keep meat and kitchen production flowing efficiently throughout the day
  • Recognize what needs attention and take initiative without always waiting for direction
  • Help maintain the quality and consistency our customers expect

You should be: Experienced in meat cutting, butchering, food production, or professional kitchen work Comfortable safely handling and preparing raw meat Dependable and able to work independently Organized and attentive to food quality and safety Conscious of inventory, waste, food cost, and productivity Willing to jump in wherever needed Comfortable taking ownership of your work without needing a management titleA Great Fit for an Experienced Food Professional Maybe you’ve spent years as a meat cutter, butcher, cook, kitchen lead, or food-service professional.
