HSE Training Manager (m/f/d)

Overview In this role, you will design, implement, and sustain comprehensive HSE training across Construction, Service, Manufacturing, and Office teams to ensure safe, compliant work practices. You’ll align programs with global safety standards and work with HSE, Operations, HR, and partners to standardize curricula and track competency. You’ll lead onboarding, assess trainer qualifications, and drive continuous improvements in safety performance. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping how teams work safely at scale in a renewable energy environment. Compensation / Benefits Paid Time Off - three weeks Medical & Pharmacy Insurance Health Savings Account with Employer Contribution Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with Employer Match Responsibilities Develop and maintain a comprehensive HSE training matrix for all roles across business units Lead implementation and ongoing improvement of technical and safety training programs (e.g., GWO, Fall Protection, LOTO, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Hazard Communication)Ensure training materials align with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA 70E, CSA, EPA, and other regulations Standardize curriculum, learning objectives, assessments, and refresher requirements Oversee onboarding training for new hires and contractors to ensure consistent safety expectations Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local training requirements Maintain accurate training records for audits Evaluate instructor qualifications and ensure certifications remain current Conduct skills assessments and verify worker competency in field environments Implement practical evaluations, scenario-based training, and refresher programs Analyze training effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend improvements Participate in global or regional training standardization initiatives Key requirements 5–7 years of HSE experience, with at least 3 years focused on training program Experience in renewable energy/oil & gas, wind turbine service, construction, utilities, or industrial/manufacturing environments Experience with GWO/IADC training programs (Preferred)Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI Z359, NFPA 70E, CSA Group standards, and environmental regulations Expertise in training development, adult learning methods, and competency assessment Excellent communication and facilitation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills Proficient with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools Field experience working with technicians or high-risk operations Independent, detail-oriented, creative, tenacious, and flexible Must pass pre-employment physical; driving is an essential function with valid licenseclear communicationfacilitationmultitaskingLMS proficiencytraining developmentcompetency assessment
