Job Title Supervisory Health Systems Specialist - VISN Operations Center Director Job Description Oversees administrative functions for the VOC and exercises executive authority for all VISN operational activities, including direct oversight and allocation of resources for Health Service Areas (HSAs), direct management of communications and policy implementation from VA headquarters. Participates in VISN, HSA and VHA committees, acts as the Network Director's executive representative for administrative operations, strategic alignment, customer service, and quality patient care. Develops and prepares special or recurring reports and studies for the Under Secretary of Health, Network Director, Deputy Network Director, and other senior agency executives. Coordinates cross-program projects, establishes collaborations with top agency stakeholders, and independently directs the implementation and execution of special projects and initiatives. Manages and prepares responses to correspondence, and ensure closure on all identified barriers to exceptional care. Directs administrative plans and teams to implement directives, address concerns, and solve VISN-wide issues, with final authority to interpret, adapt, and promulgate policy and operational changes necessary to accomplish Network and agency objectives. Champions continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness across VISN administrative units. Establishes and monitors key performance metrics and dashboards to drive ongoing improvement and accountability. Directs the HSAs response to national emergencies, disasters, and other crises, with executive authority for all operational decisions, resource allocations, and external engagements across the VISN.Supervises subordinate supervisors and is responsible for the full range of leadership activities, from strategic recruitment and development to major labor-management relations, all with VISN-wide or national consequences. Acts as selecting official for key executive and supervisory positions across multiple program areas to meet agency strategic needs. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule:Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Other work schedules within the core business hours can be discussed during the interview process.
