About the role

Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Fraud Risk Assessment Consultant will conduct fraud risk assessments, evaluate internal controls, and facilitate stakeholder engagement to identify and mitigate fraud vulnerabilities within VHA programs.
Key responsibilities: Identify, assess, document, and prioritize fraud vulnerabilities and risks in VHA programs Evaluate program processes and existing controls, providing recommendations to strengthen internal controls Gather and analyze information from various sources to identify fraud exposures and support risk governance activities
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree 3-5+ years of relevant fraud experience, including fraud risk assessments and internal controls Working knowledge of fraud risk management frameworks, including the GAO Fraud Risk Framework Experience in assessing inherent and residual risk and documenting control evaluations Able to pass a Tier 2 / Moderate Background Investigation and obtain a VA PIV card
